As a digital nomad it can be hard to maintain a regular yoga practice, when you don’t have a set routine, you’re moving from place to place and you can’t keep a regular teacher. Having a teacher who’s classes you can attend consistently is one of the most beneficial things for deepening your yoga practice. These days a really great option for that is to have lessons on skype - one on one time for you and your guide to really delve into your practice. Vicky Lynne is a great online teacher to work with.
However, there is also something to be said for attending different studios and meeting and practising with new teachers. Just like every person is unique, so is every yoga teacher and they all have something distinct to share with you. I love to try out different studios near where I’m staying, not only is it great to meet new teachers but it’s often also a good way to start getting into the local community. If you’re into yoga you’ll meet like-minded people and there may be more events you can attend at the studio, or they might advertise local community events.
So for all you yogi nomads out there, I have put together a list of AMAZING yoga studios around the world so you can get focused on your travels and deepen your practice… and make yoga friends on the way.
